About me

My mission and purpose is to bring beauty and calm to life through art.

Thank you for being here!

I’m Patricia Gaspar, an Argentinian visual artist who has lived in Canada for several years.

Creating art is my true passion.

My mission is focused on creating unique works of art that help me find calm, peace, and happiness, applying different techniques to bring my ideas and designs to life in colorful prints.

I use a wide variety of papers and inks from Japan, Europe, Africa, and India, which sometimes I enjoy combining with the papers I make by hand to print my prints, paintings, drawings, and crafts.

As a sign of my respect for the planet, I use high-quality, eco-friendly papers and inks, designed to protect the environment and, above all, so that my work may have the privilege of existing without harming our Mother Earth

Living in Canada, I have brought to life my own environmentally inspired designs, seeking to recreate and evoke the beauty of nature in British Columbia.

I focus primarily on the best combination of colors, shapes, and textures to give form to each of my artworks.

My creations are the result of many hours of meticulous research into printmaking techniques, carried out in the studio, sometimes combined with handmade paper, and above all, with great dedication.

I am pleased to share my art with you, which, as you can see on this website, has been exhibited in various parts of the world.

My designs

The other theme that really draws attention in my aboriginal art series is the connection that the natives of my country, Argentina, have with animals, plants, rivers, streams, the Sun and the Moon, and their representations.

To work on this series of Aboriginal prints, I made my own handmade paper. In addition, I have been lucky enough to have created public art projects that came true in the middle of the forest.

These include a mural and three large sculptures that I have done for the Hoy Creek Society in Coquitlam, and where I had the honor of being one of the seven artists selected to represent the city of Coquitlam in the new Public Library.

In each of my works I want to express my admiration for the wonders that Nature offers every day.

In them I seek to reflect the love and gratitude I feel towards trees, because only they sustain us with fresh air, wonderful views and perfect nests for birds, among some of the advantages that trees provide us when they are alive.

For that reason I am one of those who say out loud “Don’t cut down the forests!” Forests have always existed offering serenity, beauty and the unique space to be in contact with our Mother Earth. They are my favorite place to be because of their light and shadow, their harmony and mystery.

For me when I walk among the trees, I can feel that they have life and soul, I can see in them delicate forms of women in their trunks and branches.

That when the sunlight hits them, it is as if these women trees are dancing happily in the middle of the mist, in a relaxing sensation. I love the forests!
